CARNIVAL 2K17

This carnival has been a bit stressful since we did not find the costume until the day before the pre-carnival day of Roses.
The costume we started looking for almost a month before carnival and we found one that we liked a lot that was polar bear but when we got the package had nothing to do with the photo on the internet so we gave it back. It took another week to find one we liked, it was a "Little Red Riding Hood" costume but the delivery did not arrive in time for carnivals so we paid about 30 euros for the shipment to arrive on time. The days passed and the disguises did not arrive, only one day was missing for Carnival and we did not have the disguise !!! So we had to search all the shops in Figueres to find one.
We finally found one !!!
We were going to disguise ourselves as super heroines, the costume was red, with a blue cape, a yellow ray on the chest.

NEWS IN LEVELS: PINK WATER IN CANADA- LEVEL3

Residents of Onoway, a Canadian town, were shocked when they discovered that their tap water was pink, so people didn’t know whether the water was safe or not.

Only later were they informed that the water was safe,  The colour was caused by a leak of potassium permanganate.

Difficult words: resident (a person who lives somewhere), potassium permanganate (a chemical which is used for cleaning and water treatment).

Photo titled Faith and Confidence by William C. Beall for the Washington Daily News. In this photo we can see, as a policeman reasons with a boy of just 2 years old in the street.

This photo I find very amusing, unusual and spontaneous.

Since it is a situation that is not usually seen.

In the center of the image we can see the police and the child, in the background we see many people watching something, probably a military parade.

The image is black and white, and I loved!!!

12 Questions on the film

1 Why exactly is this film (and the book it was based upon) called "The Shining"?

The name was inspired by a song by John Lennon, Instant Karma, one of whose lines says "we all shine on".

2 What exactly happened to Jack? Why is he in that picture at the end of the movie?

 

Jack has encounters with ghosts, who insist that he has always worked in the hotel and that he must kill his family to be able to have a higher rank in the hotel equipment.

The reason that appears in the picture, is why their soul has been trapped at the  hotel. That all that are in  the picture died there like similar to  he, is to say they went crazy and killed others guests giving understand that the nearby that arrive them will happend to the same.

3 Who hurt Danny after his visit to room 237?

A ghost of a woman who had committed suicide in the bathroom in that room.

4 After saying that he would sell his soul for just one beer, Jack looks up and greets the barman Lloyd. Since this was Jack's first time at the hotel, how could he have known the barman's name?

Because the barman is a product of Jack's imagination.

5 Who or what is actually possessing the Overlook Hotel? Also, why do the said possessors want to drive Jack Torrance insane?

They are the souls that come from the old Amerindian cemetery, located under the hotel. Because they want me to kill Danny and stay with the child's ability.

6 What is the significance of the man in the Chipmunk costume with the man in tuxedo seen by Wendy in the bedroom ? What are they supposed to be doing?

That she also saw ghosts. He be having sex with a man.

7 "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" is supposed to be scary, but I don't understand. Why is it scary and what does it mean?

8 Who is Tony?

Tony is the imaginary friend of Danny. Although in reality it is as he calls his power.

9 We see Jack in the picture at the end of the film which was painted in 1921 which I guess means that Nicholson was either possessed or reincarnated...but does anyone have a definite answer? Or does Kubrick just want us to decide for ourselves?

It is always the soul of the same person who reincarnated and returns to the hotel to kill.

10 Who is the old woman in room 237 and what is her significance?

Is one of the women who died. It may be Grady's wife and that room is where he killed her family.

11 Does Danny's ability to "shine" have any connection to Jack's insanity and the events that occur in the hotel?

Yes, because what attracts the ghosts of the hotel is the power of Danny. Jack is controlled by the hotel.

12 If Jack is a reincarnation, how does he not know Danny possesses the shining? The other ghosts, such as Delbert Grady, who have always been there, can see Danny's talent. If Jack has always been there, how come he can't see what Grady sees?

Because he not keep his totally memory , because you don't know how to use his power.

HORROR MOVIE

The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist

The film is a marriage that is formed by Edd Warren and Lorraine Warren and her daughter Judy, they were involved in cases of paranormal investigators.

Then, the film is placed in Enfield, a population of London, where a family of a single mother who says Peggy and  four sons, the eldest daughter Margaret, daughter Janet, and then his brother Jhonny and small Billy's. This family begins to notice ativitats paranormal. At the beginning we see that these activities only suffers Janet, so the mother does not believe her daughter, as they were passing things paranormal is not only manifested in Janet's and mother begins to worry and contact with family Warren lis to ask for help.

Warren finally able to close the case and the family are very grateful to them.

My opinion

The film is very well done. I personally liked because we are used to a scary movie ends badly, however this film ends well and I liked it. Also at the end of the film is a "feature" of the original investigation, with photos, recordings of real characters and time.

A GREAT NIGHT!!!

 Saturday we went around the group of friends for dinner at the Locanda is a restaurant in ampuriabrava

We went to celebrate the 16th birthday of my friend Antonia . We had a great time as we were many and we did not stop laughing. In total there were about twenty people . While we waited we were to prepare the table we took some pictures . cene a pasta dish with cheese quando and was very good. After dinner we went to Sikkim and stayed together all night dancing and goofing a great night !!!

MY WORLD THE MUSICAL "FAME"


This year I had the good fortune to represent a musical. We've done all students of 4 that we were doing the subject of music . Teachers chose the musical Fame, All students have been preparing the music for six months. On June 28 we released the acting and it was great , everything was perfect.
the musical to the fact that every class everywhere unite and we met , at the end of the musical all we have felt like a  big family.
the musical has given us good times and bad . Nerves , laughs, cries ... But it's an experience that would not change it for the world . Maybe the sense of feeling that we have been able to cash with help of teachers have been able to make such a fun and beautiful music , the best course I 've definitely !!!

Tobacco children in Indonesia – level 3

Thirteen-year-old Maryam is among thousands of children who work in hazardous conditions on farms in the world's fifth biggest producer of tobacco. She works with her bare hands on a family-owned farm and suffers from “green tobacco sickness” – an acute nicotine poisoning.

She says she feels dizzy, gets aches and gets sick.

Hiring children under 15 years of age in Indonesia is illegal, but children are often not directly hired by traders or companies. They skip school or drop out altogether in order to help their families make a living – many only making the equivalent of a dollar a day.

But human rights groups are trying to change things. Human Rights Watch has reached out to some of the biggest companies operating in Indonesia, asking them to educate the families about the dangers of this work. The Indonesian government, which says it is working on the issue. 

It is estimated over 1.5 million children are working in Indonesia's agricultural sector – mainly in tobacco, rubber and palm oil plantations.

LOVE MOVIE ( tengo ganas de ti )

"I have wanted you" is a Spanish film of love, I like a lot and is very good, it is the second part continues with the film "Three Steps Above Heaven"

 Hache returned to Barcelona after spending two years in London, away from friends and family, and trying to forget her first love and death Chicken, his best friend. Back at home, the boy discovers that everything is igual.Pero everything changes when he meets Gin, a girl full of vitality, like him. A Gin likes to have fun and live life to the fullest without fear of anything. But above all, he will return the smile that he had lost, fall in love and start coming together. Hache gin and begin to live a new and improved life

Movie I like everything, there is nothing I do not like.


My final opinion is that it is a very nice film but before seeing "I Want You" is the second part, you have to look at the first one is "Three Steps Above Heaven"

THE DIFERENCES 

Question 1. SETTING:Places Where does the classical play and the new version take place? Example: Verona vs Verona Beach . Where are they? Which century?

 In the book, Verona is a city in northern Italy  and it was set in 16th century. 
 In the film Verona Beach is a place of USA and it was set in 20th century.

Question 2.. IMAGERY: metaphors & images :
WATER (swimming pool, beach, aquarium...) and FIRE (petrol station, fights...)
DAY and NIGHT, the MOON. What do they mean?  

 water means peace, tranquility,  and nothing matter.
 Fire means, aggresivity, violence, brutal fights.
 Day means peace, happiness. Romeo and Juliet have fun in him bed.After leave Verona.
 Rain means tragedious because when romeo kill rtybalt start the storm.

Question 3.. LANGUAGE. Which characters speak in verse and which in prose? Who is the narrator?
everybody talks with vers, but romeo, juliet and Friar Laurence are the main characters and emphasize the vers.

In the film version the caracther have tatoos for example tybalt.  The Virgin is important in the film because appear in the Capulet's House, in the body of tybalt and another places.
